Initial push
Wogibtswas helps users find supermarket deals in Austria. We noticed a drop in downloads, likely due to stronger competition.
We kicked off with a brief competitor analysis and defined KPIs. Screens with sensitive info are blurred.

Planning and hiring
This was our first major research initiative, involving multiple teams. I created a roadmap to align everyone.
Finding participants was tricky—most users were unresponsive. After testing several approaches, we finally filled our Calendly slots.

Research tasks
I broke the roadmap into tickets, assigning responsibilities like recruitment, communication, and outcome analysis.
We focused on building a semi-structured interview with a test case. Interviews were in German—my first time conducting in a non-native language.

Interviews
We held six interviews, despite a rocky start with no-shows. We talked to heavy users, new users, digital natives, and bargain hunters (ages 20–40).
Two team members conducted the interviews in German, English, and even Russian.

Collecting & analyzing
We transcribed interviews manually. We clustered notes, highlighted patterns, and documented findings in one shared sheet, including direct quotes.

Personas
Though not originally planned, early personas started forming. Based on just one study, it’s too early to finalize them—but we sketched them out anyway.

Turning insights into action
We extracted nine key insights, split into observations and opportunities. These were grouped by department (Marketing & Product) for clarity and prioritization. Voilà! 🥁
